Trouble losing weight?
Our clients lose 2+ pounds per week!
Our system is simple and highly effective.

STEP 1: CORRECT THE UNDERLYING ISSUES

This is crucial to your success!  Diet and exercise will have limited results, if any, if the following conditions are present:
  • Cranial Bone Subluxation
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Nutritional Deficiencies
  • Damaged Cellular Walls
  • Chronic Dehydration
  • Energy Production Issue
  • Hormone Imbalance
  • Chronic Allergic Response
  • Chronic Inflammation
  • Eating the Wrong Foods for Your Body Type
  • Musculoskeletal Imbalances
  • Poor Digestion
We offer Free Assessments and comprehensive sessions designed to quickly correct any underlying issues that are preventing you from losing weight.  The conditions listed above are often resolved within 3 sessions.

STEP 2: PROPER HYDRATION

Picture
Many clients who come to us are chronically dehydrated.  The two main causes of this are:

Not Drinking an adequate amount of filtered water
  • The guideline we use is to divide your bodyweight by two and that will equal the daily number of ounces your body requires to hydrate itself.
  • If you engage in exercise or sweat, increase this number by 20 ounces.

Drinking the wrong water
  • Tap water contains chlorine, fluoride, and aluminum sulphate or poly aluminum chloride.  These chemicals kill the healthy bacteria in your gut and disrupt your body's biochemestry.
  • Bottled water is highly acidic and stored inside cheap plastic.  The chemical components of the plastic are known hormone disruptors and estrogen mimickers.  Estrogen is a weight gaining hormone.
  • Distilled water is the most acidic form of water.  It has no mineral content and as such will cause minerals to leave your cells through the process of osmosis.  This can lead to nutritional deficiency within your cells and result in numerous symptoms.

Weight Loss Tip: Use a reverse osmosis system that filters your tap water and remineralizes it.  Santevia is a brand we recommend.  They produce fantastic alkaline water pitchers and home systems. You can browse and purchase their products at www.santevia.com.

STEP 3: NUTRITION

Picture
Our plan is simple.  Cut the carbs!  Enjoy a diet that is high in healthy fats, protein, and vegetables.

Healthy Fats
  • Cooking: use coconut or avocado oil which can both handle high heat.
  • With Meals: the right ones for you will depend on your body type and the findings from your BodyTalk Session.  Generally speaking, these may include, olive oil, sesame seed oil, walnut oil, flaxseed oil, omega 3 oil, mixed nuts, avocados, etc.
  • All oils must be organic, extra virgin and cold-pressed.

Protein
  • Enjoy chicken, turkey, seafood, lamb, beef, pork, eggs, and nuts.
  • All meat sources should come from antibiotic free, hormone free, grass-fed animals.
  • Seafood should be wild caught.
  • Eggs should be from free range chickens.

Carbohydrates
  • Enjoy organic cruciferous vegetables - arugula, bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, kale, watercress and more.
  • Enjoy organic salads made with romaine lettuce, baby romaines and spring mix.
  • Do not consume starchy carbohydrates like potatoes and pasta.  Avoid grains, conventional dairy products, soy, processed foods, sugar and white flour.

Weight Loss Tip: Eat at least 3 meals per day.  A body that senses inadequate food supply will cling on to, and store calories as, fat.  Following this diet will increase your fat burning hormone (testosterone), while decreasing and normalizing your fat storage hormones (Leptin, Insulin and Estrogen).

STEP 4: EXERCISE

Our exercise routines are short, tailored to the individual, and designed to maximize fat loss and build muscle.  We utilize a combination of high intensity interval training, cardio and reverse pyramid weight training.  The routine will depend on your abilities and the equipment you have access to, but the concept behind each routine is the same - keep setting new personal bests within the same time frame.

These short workouts are highly effective for several reasons:
  • Short workouts boost testosterone and HGH levels.  These are fat burning hormones.
  • Compound movements maximize the number of muscle fibers being utilized.  You will burn more calories throughout the workout.
  • Take advantage of the 'afterburn effect'.  Improve your metabolism and burn more calories.
  • Setting new personal bests each week keeps your body in a constant state of adaptation.  Adaptation means your body is burning fat and building muscle even when you aren't working out.

Weight Loss Tip: Do not eat for at least 1 hour after exercise.  This will encourage your body to convert fat to glucose in order to replenish glycogen levels.  This glycogen, made from body fat rather than carbohydrate intake, is then used in the next workout.  You are now burning fat for energy rather than carbohydrates.    Combine this with the low carb diet and you are now a fat burning machine.

Cardio Workout: Elliptical Machine With Resistance or Walking with Dumbbells
Total workout time: 20 minutes
Objective: Distance

Goal: Every week try to beat the average distance recorded from the prior week.  Never exceed 20 minutes.

Consider a BodyTalk session as part of your weight loss plan.

Allan, 45
Allan had a difficult time losing weight.  On the day he came to The BodyTalk Centre, he measured in at a height of 5'6'' and weighed 240lb.  He had low levels of energy, and limited mobility due to the excessive weight.
In his first BodyTalk session, it was discovered he had a nutritional deficiency that was directly impacting his thyroid function.  It was also found that, on a daily basis, he was consuming foods he was intolerant to which led to chronic inflammation.   Furthermore, he suffered from hormone imbalances (high levels of insulin and estrogen) due to his high carb diet.
We corrected the nutritional deficiency, eliminated the consumption of foods he was intolerant to, and cut the majority of carbs out of his diet.
Within the following two months, Allan's thyroid function returned to normal, his hormones are balanced, he's full of energy, and he has lost 40 pounds.  Allan has not even started exercising!

We see what others miss!
